  My stapler wasn't functioning and I had to have another to demonstrate in a class an hour later. I bought a new stapler, the person who helped me was great and I asked what staples would fit. She said standard so I was good. I went to the class used one staple and the second one wouldn't work. Someone found me another stapler in the building. After class I went back to the store figuring I'd get swingline staples to match the stapler brand, just in case. I asked if I could test them, the clerk was hesitant, but said ok and and I was to bring them up to the front and she would test them. She staples once and I asked her to do a second one. It didn't work!!! She opened up the stapler and the staples flew out and all over the store. She was picking them up when a manager came by, gave her a disgusted look and said what's the matter? She said the stapler is defective. She called to the back and asked someone to bring up another stapler. I asked her to test it. It worked. Lots of times. She has to ring up an return then recharge me for the stapler. Oops, I need the staples too. She rang that up and I was on my way home. My half hour drive. And yes, this story is about as long as the time I wasted, just testing to get a stapler!
